Is Speedy free to use?
Yes! Speedy is completely free with all features included. There are no premium plans, subscriptions, or hidden costs.
Does Speedy collect my data?
No. All data is stored locally on your device. We don't collect, track, or transmit any personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I add a website to Quick Links?
There are two easy ways:
- Right-click method: On any webpage, right-click and select "Add to Quick Links"
- Settings panel: Click the gear icon → Shortcuts tab → Add URL manually
How do I change the background image?
Multiple options available:
- Click the shuffle button (bottom of screen) to randomly change
- Open Settings → Appearance tab to browse 20 built-in wallpapers
- Upload your own image (JPG, PNG, WEBP supported)
- Add an image from URL
- Choose a solid color or gradient
What clock styles are available?
Speedy offers 5 unique clock styles:
- Default: Bold, clean look
- Thin: Light, elegant font
- Bold: Extra thick, high impact
- Elegant: Spaced letters, sophisticated
- Retro: Monospace, digital feel
Plus customizable colors and 12/24 hour format.
What is Idle Mode?
Idle Mode automatically hides all UI elements after a period of inactivity, letting you enjoy your beautiful wallpaper distraction-free. Move your mouse or press any key to bring the UI back.
What search engines are supported?
Speedy supports 7 search engines: Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, Yandex, YouTube, Amazon, and Google Images.
Use keyboard shortcuts Alt+1 through Alt+7 to quickly switch between them.
Can I sync settings across devices?
Currently, Speedy stores all data locally on each device. Cross-device sync is not available yet, but it's on our roadmap for future updates.
Is Speedy available for other browsers?
Currently, Speedy is only available for Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Opera). Firefox and Safari support may be added in future updates.
